Quatations/ Estimator - Stoke on Trent

£24,000 p/annum, Monday to Friday - days

Our team are currently recruiting for a Quotations / Estimator, based at our site in Stoke-On-Trent. This is a full-time, permanent position, with a regular fixed working pattern Monday to Thursday 8am - 4pm, Friday until 12.10 noon. (no mandatory weekend working or shifts).

We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting customers with the best pricing, quotations, RFQs and once quotes are accepted progress through to registration of drawings and beyond. We need a collaborative person able to connect and network with suppliers and other members of the team.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reading and understanding customers drawings/Schematic Diagrams
  • Liaise directly with the customer if there are any technical queries on the enquiries.
  • Negotiate best prices for components.
  • Cross referencing parts from one supplier to another
  • Arranging accurate quotations in a timely manner to support customer needs
  • Connecting with customers to discuss new projects

WHAT KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED?

  • Ability to prioritise workload and turnaround quotes in a timely and effective manner
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with precision when quoting.
  • Knowledge and experience in Schematic Diagrams would be beneficial.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills across internal and external contacts.
  • Experience in analysing data, monitoring for changes
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) generating delivery orders and providing suppliers with point of sale information would be beneficial
  • Experience working with databases, ability to create/administer pricing databases, projecting impact of pricing changes, individual promotions and rebate programs on revenue.
