About the role:
Based in Glasgow on a competitive salary, this Energy Associate role covers the full spectrum of sector expertise, including commercial, regulatory, M&A and projects work.
You'll give legal counsel to some of the world's leading energy companies, independent developers and project financiers on some of the most high-value, innovative transactions and projects in the UK and internationally. Working alongside a highly specialised team, you'll gain a deeper understanding of the legal, industry and commercial arrangements across the power and renewables sector and become a sector expert.
You'll be a qualified lawyer, ideally with three to eight years' PQE in the energy sector from a corporate, construction or commercial background. You'll have an excellent track record within a large law firm and experience in handling clients in major blue-chip companies. The role requires:

? The ability to understand the relevant economic, technical and financial context.
The candidate will work independently and on larger projects and transactions as part of a cross-disciplinary team. Exceptional organisational, administration and time-management skills are vital.
