Do you want to head up a high calibre development team, reshaping the market and continually growing by experimenting and pushing software boundaries?
We're seeking to place a collaborative and passionate Software Engineering Manager in the Edinburgh region. The Engineering role is offering a competitive base rate and benefits package. You'll be engaging in stimulating and challenging projects that will have a broader positive impact on the world and how it works.
As the Software Engineering Manager, you will manage the delivery end-to-end of the platform. You will benefit from similar project experience where you are responsible for the delivery of development, API design, unit testing, automated deployment, alongside coaching and mentoring developers.
To succeed in this Software Engineering Manager role, you will be a Development Manager with a background in developing products and working for product-based businesses building scalable, resilient products rather than in services. You'll also be a Development Manager for 1 to 2 high performing Engineering squads at the moment with direct reports (probably 5 to 10 direct reports) and have a management style that is collaborative, supportive; you want to mentor and help those in your team achieve their own goals.
You will also be actively involved in building out the existing team, recruiting, planning career journeys, supporting soft engineering developers, on-boarding newbies and following the latest trends in the business. If you've been involved with managing offshore teams in the past, that would be a bonus.
In return for your skills, you will enjoy a competitive base salary and some great company perks.
Interviewing will take place remotely, and you will start remotely too until returning to offices is advised by the government, to get things kick-started despite the current COVID-19 pandemic. Please call us today to begin the application process for this Edinburgh based Software Engineering Manager role.
Search is an equal opportunities recruiter and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified applicants, regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age.
