Deputy Manager
Children's Residential Home
£24k starting salary
37.5 hours a week

Search are looking for a Deputy Manager to help manage a small residential home in Liverpool. The person we are looking for must be enthusiastic and have experience working around OFSTED/working a senior role

Roles include:

To demonstrate practical leadership in childcare and assist in the organising and supporting of staff to provide the best possible care for each child and young person.
Ensure the effective implementation of the Children Act 1989 and the accompanying guidance and regulations (Vol. 4 Residential Care), the Care Standards Act 2000 and the Children's Homes Regulations 2001. This will be achieved in consultation with the relevant statutory body.
Ensure that any matters relating to Safeguarding are managed in line with current legislation, national standards, and best safeguarding practice.
Maintain the highest possible standards of childcare and ensure that each child and young person's agreed placement plan is fully implemented.
Co-ordinate and access the appropriate services (health, education, therapy) to ensure the needs of each child and young person is met.
To assist in the leadership and coaching in childcare practice within the home to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people.

Shift patterns operate as follows:

One day on, two days off. Day on: 10am to 10am (overnight sleep in 11pm-7am that night paid at £50 per sleep). 0.45p per mile car allowance also included.

Experience Needed:

NVQ Level 4/5 in Children and Young People's Workforce
Driver with access to own vehicle
Working within a senior role and OFSTED knowledge
