Pension Consultant, London, up to 50k as a basic

I am working with a large consultancy who are looking for an experienced DB Pension Consultant to join their team in London.

You will work as part of a team managing and advising a portfolio of corporate and trustee clients. The role requires strong pension knowledge and excellent client management skills.

Key responsibilities


* Develop excellent relationships with client portfolio and understand their needs and objectives
* Ensure regular contact with all clients within the portfolio
* Makes a significant personal contribution to the development of the team's consulting capability, collateral and people
* Able to effectively communicate complex and technical issues to clients and colleagues
* Maintain and develops a breadth of knowledge about all the services offered by the business and a complete understanding of those offered by the Practice
* Produce advice to checking/peer review level on strategic/major issues that could result in substantial business risk
* Responsible for delivery of low-medium value and risk client advice and projects
* Identifies solutions and risks for clients based upon an expert understanding of their situation and relevant technical, regulatory and statutory requirements
* Possess excellent communication skills and therefore ability to articulate effectively propositions on behalf of your practice area
* Work as part of a team, ensuring effective communications between clients and the client servicing teams.


Experience Required

* Previous industry specific experience, particularly pensions
* Knowledge of benefits legislation
* High level of English language skills
* Proficient in all relevant IT packages including Word, Excel and Powerpoint
* Excellent analytical and communication skills
* Proactive
* Works positively with colleagues
* General business understanding
Desirable
* Technical pension qualification (PMI)
