Legal Administrator / Paralegal
Location: Leeds City Centre
Salary: £18,000

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Legal Administrator / Paralegal to work for our client an awarding law firm based in Leeds City Centre.

You will provide Paralegal and administrative support to the Commercial Litigation department.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Administrative Tasks Including:
* Typing
* Filing
* Scanning
* Printing
* Document collation/preparation of bundles
* Raising/paying invoices
* Liaising with finance department/credit control and any other duties as required

Assist Fee Earners where necessary Including:
* Liaising with third parties, such as clients, experts and the Court undertaking companies house/credit searches
* Deal with client correspondence/enquiries via post/telephone/email as appropriate
* Draft and amend appropriate legal documents
* Maintain an accurate and up to date filing system
* File opening and closing in preparation for archiving
* Prioritise own workload
* Assist other fee earners within the department as required
* Ensure that personal objectives are reviewed and met
* Develop a good relationship with existing and potential clients ensuring that a high standard of client care is exercised at all times
* Ensure that relevant training is carried out and keep up to date with relevant legislation and practice

Key Skills:
* Previous Office Administration - Essential
* Microsoft Office including Excel to a good standard - Essential
* Legal background - Desirable
* Databases - Desirable
* Excellent IT skills
* Numerate
* High standards of accuracy with attention to detail
* Ability to adapt to change/Flexible approach
* Eye for presentation of documents
* Prioritisation and organisational skills
* Good written and verbal skills, able to communicate at all levels
* Ability to work to strict deadlines
* Commercial awareness
