As a Commercial Lawyer, you will be responsible for the following:
- Reviewing, advising, drafting and negotiating all types of commercial contracts.
- These will include I.T. software, procurement, hardware, telecoms and confidentially agreements.
- Creating and implementing templates and processes to aid delivery.
- Performing all legal and compliance due diligence.
- Working collaboratively with the wider legal function as well as the in-house global team.
- Driving positive change and continuous improvement within the commercial legal function.
- Responsible for identifying key risk and compliance issues, creating solutions.
- Acting as point of escalation for the junior legal team, using your experience, knowledge and judgement.
- Working with the junior legal team on mentoring and coaching programmes, developing the next generation.
For the Commercial Lawyer role, you must be:
- 2 years PQE+ in England and Wales jurisdictions in a commercial legal setting.
- Commercially aware and provide pragmatic, strategic business advice.
- Working for a leading law firm or have demonstrable in-house experience in a commercial legal setting.
- Experienced in working with large businesses and managing a varied caseload of legal work for blue-chip companies.
- A Collaborative team player who can work both independently and with a wider legal function.
- Some experience of supervising junior legal members is advantageous.
