Experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers are always valued for the services they provide both to companies and the community. We're looking for experienced HGV Class 1 Container drivers for our client's ongoing assignments in and around Wakefield. This a Thursday to Monday night shift HGV Driver job, with a salary of £12.42 per hour on weekdays, increasing to £15.12 on Saturdays and £17.48 on Sundays.
Flexible shift and working patterns are available to suit your lifestyle. Attempts can be made to accommodate drivers looking for ongoing work with the same customer if so desired.
In addition to HGV experience, you will need to:
● Have a valid Class 1 (C+E) HGV licence
● Complete an on-site induction session to meet health and safety requirements
● Have a minimum of 12 months' experience in this type of role
● Take drug and alcohol tests before shifts commence
● Have no more than six minor points on your licence, for insurance purposes
The client is a leading brewery with a loyal customer base, so reliability and excellent service is a must. You will be delivering bottles and kegs to distribution centres with no handball required and can expect two deliveries per shift, with no nights out. The HGV Class 1 Drivers must have previous experience in a similar Class 1 driving role, as there is no training given with this contract. A driving assessment will be carried out for all drivers before starting shifts.
