My client is a medium sized civil engineering main contractor, they deliver a wide range of engineering and earthwork projects ranging in Value from £2m - £20m delivering vital infrastructure, road and wind farms. The Scotland business has been in operation for over 5 decades, as an employer they can offer security and benefit from a low turnover of staff, testament to their positive, people focused culture.

An excellent opportunity exists for a technically experienced Civils Foreman to join the company in a role that will involve hands on oversight of day to day site activity on busy sites. The foreman must have extensive experience in overseeing technically challenging civil engineering projects and demonstrate sound knowledge of earthworks, drainage, foundations, concrete structures and heavy plant operations.

Working with a national contractor you may have to work in non commutable locations on occasion current project pipeline in Scotland covers: Central Belt, Fife, East Lothian, Inverclyde, Perth, Dundee. Subsistence, travel and O/T is offered to direct employees on such occasions where working remotely is required.

To be considered you will need to demonstrate:

  • Stable, loyal, perm led employment history
  • A high level of technical knowledge and experience built up through delivery of relevant projects
  • High work ethic - desire / willingness to work O.T and on occasion away from home
  • Relevant certification - SSSTS, CSCS, First Aid (min)
  • UK Driving license


Basic salary and vehicle is offered as well as the ability to increase earnings through paid O/T.
