Role: Carer - Nights (14 shifts per month)
Salary: £10 per hour
Search Consultancy is seeking experienced Carers to work night shift on a permanent full time basis to provide the highest quality of care and support to our client based in Edinburgh.
The home is a purpose-built luxury care home and includes all of the usual comforts you'd expect such as warm and welcoming living areas, bright and airy dining rooms and cosy bedrooms which are their resident's personal space to rest and relax in, as far from the traditional view of a care home as you can imagine.
The shifts are 9pm - 8am and our client is looking to offer 14 shifts per month (3 shifts one week, 4 the next week).
The role of a Carer is an important role. You will provide the highest standards of respect and care; overall, ensuring the dignity of the clients is maintained at all times. You need to be a good team player, communicator, listener, to be focused, dedicated and reliable.
Some of your roles & responsibilities as a carer will include:
* Assisting with the activities of daily living, personal care and helping with social activities.
* Reporting any issues to the management team.
* Complete and maintain records of daily activities, observations, and direct hours of service.
* Ensure service is delivered in accordance with all relevant policies, procedures and practices.
* Carry out duties as assigned by the Home Manager/Clinical Lead
Due to the nature of the role, experience in care is essential. You will be approachable, respectful and be well presented.
It takes a very special and dedicated person to be a Carer. It is physically and emotionally demanding but with the job satisfaction that you will receive it will make the job worth it. There is also mentorship available and the opportunity to progress in the care industry.
