Search Consultancy is working with a Charitable Organisation in the West Midlands to recruit a Health and Social Care Business Development Officer on a temporary basis.

Salary £11.50 - £13.94

Key Responsibilities


* Be responsible to Enable Senior Business Development Officer who is in turn responsible for the post holder's health and safety, training and development.
* Ensure people with disabilities referred by Wolverhampton City Council are found appropriate paid employment opportunities in open employment settings with a wide range of employers in Wolverhampton and surrounding areas
* Market and build positive relationships with employers and employing organisations and companies throughout Wolverhampton to generate new job leads and vacancies.

Main Duties:

* individual and team performance targets and quality standards are met.
* liaise with social care teams and external agencies across Wolverhampton to develop an employment pathway for service users with disabilities.
* Ensure people with disabilities referred by Wolverhampton City Council are found appropriate paid employment opportunities in open employment settings with a wide range of employers in Wolverhampton and surrounding areas
* Market and build positive relationships with employers and employing organisations and companies throughout Wolverhampton to generate new job leads and vacancies.
* Co-ordinate employment support to clients and employers as required.
* Develop an awareness and understanding of issues related to equal opportunities and anti-discriminatory practice and to demonstrate this in the carrying out of your duties.
* To take an active part in identified training, development and continuing personal and vocational development.
* Contribute to publicity as required.
* Comply with safe systems of work in accordance with the Directorates' Health, Safety and Welfare policies and procedures engagement with service users and maintenance of an appropriate personal profile.

This is a Full Time post working 37 hours per week and this role is subject to Enhanced DBS and reference checks.
