A growing Cyber Security business is looking to appoint a number of Business Development Managers for their Glasgow based team to look after Scotland, Northern Ireland and the North of England.

This company have a truly specialised offering and purely deal with Cyber Security solutions and Managed IT. They have a great technical team with consultants on board that essentially become embedded into their clients to provide guidance through the cyber security journey.

New business is the main focus for this role, however some warm accounts will be provided. As you grow your client base you will be responsible for maintaining and growing accounts. You will have support from the businesses vendor network, keeping the technology at the forefront of what is on offer as well as in house support for technical insights.

You will have responsibility for two main business areas, one being managed services and the other hardware and technology focussed. You will become an expert in the industry and progress to a state where you are comfortable working in a consultative manner with your clients to discuss vulnerabilities and offer a solution.

The office environment is modern, open, friendly and engaging although the team is fairly small. That being said team fit is of massive importance and the role will suit someone with a great personality who feels rewarded by doing a good job - you can actually see the impact that landing a large deal can have directly on the company!

You must be able to self manage your time and take ownership for your own desk, essentially running your own business within a business. Sales cycles are aligned with the industry with an average deal taking around 3-6 months to complete, therefore forward planning and forecasting should also be considered.

You do not need to have sold Cyber Security products but ability within IT sales or related is important. I am considering candidates with both high levels of experience and also those who are looking for a fresh, long term career in the industry who are looking for their next venture.
