Search Healthcare is a leading healthcare recruitment agency and preferred supplier to prominent NHS Trusts, placing a range of healthcare professionals.

We are looking to recruit a Band 6 Paediatric Physiotherapist for an 11 month contract to work in Preston.

You will provide a specialist physiotherapeutic assessment, treatment and management of children 0-19 based in the community.

Full Time 37.5 hour per week Monday to Friday. Part time also available

Clinical Care (to include)

* As an autonomous practitioner, to provide specialist assessment and treatment of children using a variety of modalities for those whose presentation could include complex physical, respiratory or, developmental difficulties and have other diverse health needs.

* To work sensitively with parents and carers to ensure excellent communication on all aspects of the child's care. To communicate effectively with children and carers to maximise rehabilitation potential and to ensure understanding of conditions to give sensitive/emotive information around diagnosis and or outcomes. Use communication skills such as persuasion, motivation explanation to encourage patients to undertake their management programme.

* To undertake the comprehensive physiotherapy assessment of paediatric patients including those with a complex presentation using investigative and analytical skills to formulate individualised management and treatment plans using clinical reasoning and utilising a wide range of treatment skills and options to formulate a specialised physiotherapy programme care.
