Assistant Billing Manager - Circa £35,000 + Excellent Benefits Package - Permananent - Manchester

Working with Search, this innovative and forward thinking Global organisation is seeking a Assistant Billing Manager to join their Leadership Team.

Based in the Manchester Shared Service Centre this exciting and varied role will enable you to showcase your natural leadership and continuous improvement skills. This role will play a pivotal role in supporting the successful delivery of the wider billing changes & process improvements under the direction of the Billing Manager. The role requires a strong leader who is performance driven and can inspire others.

The Assistant Billing Manager will lead a team of Billing Specialists, collaborating with Finance and Operations teams to ensure the efficient and effective management of our most complex invoicing scenarios. You will work closely with the Complex Billing Manager to onboard new hires to the team as well as new projects to the Complex Billing process.

KEY DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Leadership of a team of Billing Specialists, guiding through unusual billing scenarios.
  • Reconciliation and billing of complex client accounts.
  • Work with other Team Leader to share resources over workload peaks and troughs.
  • Use detailed understanding of billing systems / processes to make improvements to internal customer experience, error rates, volume of credit notes raised etc.
  • Ensure necessary governance is applied to all internal customer requests.
  • Regularly and proactively engage with your team's Operational stakeholders to ensure timely generation of accurate client invoices.
  • *upport the Complex Billing Manager in the integration and stabilise acquired entities and newly won contracts in to the billing systems and processes.
  • Deputise for the Complex Billing Manager where necessary.

Due to the nature of the role, your background and experience will clearly demonstrate an in depth knowledge and understanding of Billing and Continous Improvement within a shared service environment.

The role demands exemplary people management and leadership skills which you will have developed within large corporate/international environments. These will hold you in good stead as the business culture is people orientated, dynamic and creative.A deep understanding of end to end processes in the areas of Billing are a must as is strong Continuous Improvement/Project Management skills.
