Search Consultancy has a vacancy for an experienced and dedicated Approved Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) to work for a Local Authority in Greater Manchester

We are seeking to appoint Social worker/Amhp's preferably with experience of working with vulnerable adults/childcare & young people to our out of hours Emergency duty team. The work is organised on a shift basis between the hours of 5pm - 8.30 am covering evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Social Worker (AMHP's) will be responsible for undertaking Mental Health Act Assessments in accordance with the Mental Health Act 1983 (as revised in 2007). Applicants will also be expected to deal with vulnerable adults, homelessness referrals including children/young people safeguarding referrals that arise out of office hours.

You will be working collaboratively across all disciplines to continuously promote the needs of this client group and provide a service when it is indicated that without the provision of a service a child/young person or adult would suffer significant harm or hardship.

Successful applicants will have proven case work experience in working with adults with mental health needs and related social difficulties, including child/young person/adult safeguarding protection issues.


You MUST be:

* SWE registered
* Eligible to work in the UK
* A full UK license holder
* Degree or equivalent in social work
* AMHP
