Search Scientific consultancy is a recruitment partner to an Global consumer product testing laboratory who are looking for a Analytical Services manager to join their team based in Manchester. This person will be responsible in assisting the laboratory in applying the best practice and interpretation of results and reporting these results to the external customers.
Support laboratory remembers in supplying interpretation of results
Report and communicate results to clients and to issue client certificates and out of specifications
Produce client specific reports with final predictions with a high level of quality and technical competence - The role is based within their food chemistry testing department.
Follow up on sample status, reporting and interpretation of results
Advise customers on relevant testing methods based on current industrial standards such as Good lab practice
Provide a high level of internal and external customer care
Set up and maintenance of client suites and specifications in company's IT systems including preparing and updating quotations for existing customers
Support the sales team in the identification of customer's needs and recommendation of testing requirements
Keep up to date with current techniques, topics and legislation that order to advise and its customers on accurate implementation of their requirements
Day to day management of the chemistry accounts to include some client visits.
Raising and investigating customer queries and complaint
Degree in Science or equivalent
Experience in working as chemist with experience in techniques such as HPLC, GC, ICP-OES in a food testing laboratory
Previous experience in working within consumer product testing industry in a similar role is desired.
