I am currently recruiting for an analytical chemist position with immediate start!

This is a contract role with high potential go permanent, paying up to £18,400 plus 15% shift allowance

My client is an international laboratory, specialising in providing analytical services to Oil and Gas industry. They are currently looking to recruit an analytical chemist to join their chemistry department. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate with Science degree to gain industrial experience.

Key responsibilities

Analysing petrochemical samples using techniques such as ICP, ICP-OES, GC and wet chemistry techniques

Maintain good lab practise and work according ISO17025 guidelines

Following SOPs and written methods to analyse samples

Ensuring all data is inputted into the system in a timely and accurate manner in order for the laboratory to carry out the analysis required on samples



Degree in life science or equivalent

Excellent communication and written skills

Excellent organisational and time management skills

Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office, and will have the ability to multi task

Ability manage strict deadlines and working in a fast paced environment

Please note that this is a shift chemist role where you will be working on a 4.00PM- 2.00AM shift after first three months.
