Accounting Team Manager - Qualified Accountant CIMA/ACCA - up to £45K + Excellent Benefits Package - Permanent - Manchester

Working in partnership with Search, this innovative, ambitious and hugely diverse Global organisation is seeking a Accounting Team Manager to join their Leadership Team. Based in the Manchester Shared Service Centre this role will enable you to showcase your natural leadership skills and support the Accounting Director in delivering strategic objectives, implementing best practice and driving performance across a business which has a turnover in the billions.

Due to the nature of the role, your background and experience will clearly demonstrate an in depth knowledge and understanding of R2R/GL within a shared service environment.

The Accounting Team Manager is responsible for leading the team in the provision of timely, accurate and compliant Financial Accounting services including statutory reporting whilst seeking out opportunities for process alignment and improvement.

Key Accountabilities for the role

  • Qualified Accountant CIMA/ACCA
  • Excellent understanding of the General Ledger end to end process
  • Team motivator and ability to develop team to achieve their potential
  • Ability to adapt and support team during periods of change
  • Ability to adapt and support team during periods of change
  • Good Microsoft Excel data manipulation and analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Experience of managing a team
  • Demonstrable experience of managing improvement projects and processing high volume activity
  • Exceptional customer focus/engagement/stakeholder management skills
  • Proven influencing and networking skills at senior management level.
  • Proven analytical skills
  • Experience of delivering continuous improvement programmes
  • Excellent communication skills
