A household name within the Technology sector are looking to appoint an Account Manager to cover Scotland to drive revenue, grow accounts and introduce new business for a specific product.
The company work with an innovative piece of technology, applicable to most public sector organisations including the police force, security, medical, fire and rescue services. This could also apply to more commercial businesses and has applications in private security, logistics and transport.
As with most technology, the product and business is ever evolving, therefore you must have a passion for technology and be able to stay on top of further innovation. You would also play a part in improving service levels and focus on customer success.
Working mainly within the transport, logistics and public sector you would be the main point of contact for all sales activity including both pre and post sales work. This would include prospecting, finding new clients, meeting with your account base, carrying out all BIDs/Tenders associated and maintaining solid relationships to grow accounts and further revenue.
You must have strong negotiation skills, knowledge of public sector frameworks and strong commercial ability. Ideally you will have a background in technology or innovation with a desire to stay at the cutting edge of the industry.
You must be well versed in sales, with a number of years under your belt. A technical or business degree would also stand out. Strong written and verbal communication is a must, as would a full UK licence as you will be meeting with clients frequently.
