I am currently representing a growing IT services provider on an exclusive basis who are looking to appoint a Account Manager to offer a specific telecoms proposition.

You would be working with both new business relationships and also cross selling into a very warm database of existing customers. The main reason for this role being created is due to the existing client base looking for a full service offering for telecoms and this role will enable this to happen.

You must be a market expert in telecoms, whether through current or previous roles and must have an in depth technical knowledge of said products which will span Unified Communications, Cloud Solutions and Mobile offerings.

The business itself has been through significant growth with several added to the sales team, both internal and external to grow sales and revenue. The business has now reached the point where they may be looking at new premises and future growth and development.

They are situated in Glasgow City Centre and have great transport links however a large part of the role will be client facing with significant travel to meet with clients.

Ideally you will have a track record in new business sales, whether this is winning fresh clients or cross selling new products into an existing database. You must also be able to offer a solution on a technical level so must be a market expert when it comes to telecoms.

An existing client base is not essential however you must be well equipped to deal with the challenges associated with the industry and be adept in creating effective solutions for clients and closing business.

As time goes on, the role will move to a 50/50 new business role with focus on maximising revenue from existing accounts and playing a part in their growth plans and legacy planning.

If successful you will be part of a growing business, with a strong, supportive team and strong leader at the helm. The team are very hungry and is reflected in the overall culture of the business - this is a tough role with a specific skillset and candidates must be hungry to drive new relationships and maximise the existing potential.
