Job title: Account Manager
Reporting to: Head of Collections
Salary: 22,000 - 28,000 Depending on experience
Hours: 40.5 hours per week. Mon to Fri 09:00 to 17:30

One evening session per week 17:30 to 19:30, one Saturday morning per month 08:00 to 12:00.

The role of an Account Manager is to proactively manage clients accounts, utilising our vast array of collection letters, emails and telephone techniques to contact your client's customers and seek repayment. Maintaining relationships with your clients are the core of our business and you be fully trained to discuss appropriate legal and insolvency action should their debts remain unpaid.

Responsibilities & duties

Client management

To build and maintain strong, lasting business relations with the clients in your diary, keeping them up to date on the progress of their cases while seeking repeat listings to further the relationship. Your clients will have direct lines of communication with you by telephone, email and potentially face-to-face meetings when the need arises.

Collection of client's accounts

To seek repayment of your clients debts via letters, telephone calls, email etc. This will involve negotiation to secure monthly arrangements, settlements etc, as well as advising debtors of the legal implications of non-payment, in a compliant manner and suggest suitable legal action for non-payment

The Client will offer many services in addition to their standard collection efforts, notably legal actions which come at cost to the client. A major part of the Account Managers role is to suggest suitable legal action when all efforts to affect recovery have failed.

As part of our ongoing commitment to nurturing and developing talented individuals, the client offers a fast-track one-month development plan from Trainee Account Manager to a fully trained Account Manager.

The ideal candidate will be
* Experienced in a professional working environment
* Previous debt collection experience
* Previous experience within Account Management
* Confident, personable, presentable and able to communicate well, whether face-to-face or via telephone.
* Attention to detail and care for your work
