Accommodation Team Leader

Search Consultancy Ltd is currently looking for an Accommodation Team Leader to join our team in the Wakefield area. This is a contract position until the mid February 2020, subject to review.


Salary: £20.35 per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week, 8:30am to 5:00pm


As an Accommodation Team Leader you will provide overall high quality operational leadership and management of staff in the Accommodation Management and Support team. In this job, you will be responsible for ensuring that the portfolio of temporary accommodation is managed as effectively as possible within legislation, policy and procedures and that move on from temporary accommodation is carried out in a timely and effective way, taking into account service user support needs and working holistically to overcome barriers.

As an Accommodation Team Leader you will also be responsible for ensuring that households are placed into temporary accommodation within legislation, policy and procedures.


The ideal an Accommodation Team Leader will:
* Have Level 4 qualifications (National Qualifications Framework in the UK) or able to demonstrate significant relevant work based experience
* Have good knowledge of Homelessness legislation, guidance, case law and good practice
* Have good knowledge of the social and financial costs of homelessness to the individuals, the local authority and other relevant bodies
