3rd Line Support Engineer


£45,000 Circa

Summary of the 3rd Line Support Engineer role:

An innovative private health care business based in Leeds are looking for an individual who can provide 3rd Line Support on network and technical escalations. In this role you will be sat in a team of 5 3rd Line Support Engineers and you will need to be a pro-active problem solver, have good written and verbal communication abilities and be able to deal with any technical escalations via 1st and 2nd line support.

Key skills required from the successful 3rd Line Support Engineer:

- Experience working with Microsoft Windows Server OS.
- Support and manage the SCCM and SCOM environment.
- Manage virtualisation environments, VMWare & Hyper-V.
- Good understanding of IP.
- Manage, troubleshoot and support the application publishing technologies (Citrix XenApp / Terminal Services).
- Maintain, design and manage Active Directory.
- ITILv3 certified.

Key responsibilities of the 3rd Line Support Engineer:

- Looking after software and hardware for the business installing, configuring, updating and maintaining.
- Hardware fixes/replacements/Management.
- Proven track record of providing escalated (3rd level) technical support, troubleshooting and fault rectification of high level technical issues related to Server and networking equipment and services.
- Be pro-active in seeking ways to be creative and solution driven. Managing, reporting and documenting solutions. As well as this be pro-active in supporting the business with potential risks spotted.
- Full ownership of tickets allocated to you and successfully deliver to targets set.
- Solid communication skills are required when discussing critical problems to both technical and non-technical individuals.
