2nd Line Support

This is a chance to join a young, growing, energetic business who hold dedication, passion, trust and respect as their core values. With a 1 stage interview process lined up for the 26th of July, there's no time to waste with this one.

Coming up on 2 decades in service, this business has been providing key IT and Cyber Security services to the people of Yorkshire and wider Europe that have seen them become the go-to in their field.

What do they want me to do?

Well, they run a desk with a difference. There is no 1st line. So, you'll join a team of 2nd and 3rd Line Engineers, who never experience the same day twice.

You'll flit between workstation support, data centre installations, printer setup, cloud migrations, network design, and laptop building - and much more!

In this role, you'll be tasked with providing and maintaining services for local clients, on-site, around the Yorkshire region, as well as providing remote support for continental European clients.

Am I the sort of person they're looking for?

Being "exceptional" is very important to them as a business. Exceptional products, exceptional services, and exceptional support all provided by exceptional people! So, if you pride yourself in the quality of your work, and take pleasure from providing stand-out service, you're definitely in the mould that they like!

Do you have a driving license and access to your own vehicle? That's an important one, because you'll be going out on-site throughout the local region, and you'll need a way to get there. Don't worry, there's a car and fuel allowance available to help with costs.

Do you enjoy the camaraderie of the office? Also important! They want you to come to work because you enjoy working there, and they try to foster a feeling of family throughout their small team. Yes, they do great work and keep businesses around the world running 24/7, but they know how to have fun doing it.

Are there any bits of experience or skills that I'll need?

There are a few you'll need for definite:
* Server 2016
* Hyper-V
* O365
* Switches and VLAN setup
* Subnetting

What do I get from this?

An important question, good thinking! You can expect to earn a salary of up to £31,000 per annum for your efforts.

That salary sits alongside a number of benefits, including a car allowance of £150 per month, a healthcare package, incremental holiday scheme, and there's even an old-school pinball machine available for use. I mean…pinball!

So, what do I do now?

I'll tell you what you do. If you've got your CV ready to go, then do not delay - click apply and send it through for immediate consideration.

If you need to work on your CV a little, then get started right now! In the meantime, you can give me a call on 0161 835 8757 or drop me an email to john.reid@search.co.uk and let me know that this is of interest to you.
