Search Construction has proved its sustainability credentials with its recent Gold Member status awarded by the Supply Chain Sustainability School.

The Supply Chain Sustainability School is a world class collaboration of clients, contractors and suppliers enabling a sustainable, built environment. It is driven by the ambition of its partners and members, working towards a sustainable future for the built environment industry.

Search prides itself on working with clients that prioritise sustainability and their impact on the environment and embarked on securing Gold Member Status to help support with client’s sustainability initiatives.

In order to achieve the accolade, Search Construction had to complete a series of assessments to benchmark its knowledge on key sustainability topics within the built environment including BIM maturity, offsite processes, management competencies and core sustainability practices such as social value and continuing the lifecycle of construction. From here, an action plan was created to ensure any knowledge gaps were plugged allowing Search to be fully qualified in built environment sustainability.

Paul Kynaston, Managing Director of Search Construction, said: “We are delighted to have been awarded Gold Member Status and this is a testament to the hard work and commitment of our team members who are in agreement that sustainability needs to be a priority for our business.

“Remaining as sustainable as possible is paramount at Search and we always try and limit the impact we have on the environment. However our clients are at the forefront of everything we do and we wanted to achieve Gold Member Status from the Supply Chain Sustainability School to help benefit them.

“Often, sustainability targets are implemented across construction projects and knowing how important it is that products and suppliers used adhere to these standards, we wanted to make life easier for the construction clients we work with on a daily basis. Any contactors that Search Construction works with can rest assured we are doing the utmost to achieve strict sustainability targets.”
