Search Consultancy appoints managing director to lead new procurement and supply chain recruitment business
- Managing Director Jonathan Abell joins Search Consultancy
- Business expansion to focus on establishing Procurement and Supply Chain hub
Search Consultancy has appointed a Managing Director for its Energy, Scientific and new Procurement & Supply Chain discipline.
Jonathan Abell, who has vast experience in the procurement and supply chain recruitment agency market, joins Search having spent almost 25 years in the sector. Having started his career with Michael Page in the mid 90s as a Recruitment Consultant, Jonathan specialised in establishing new disciplines and leading growth, and has focused on Supply Chain and Procurement recruitment since 2002.
Taking advantage of his track record for growing teams and building markets, and his experience and network within the business area, Search is looking to Jonathan to create and lead their new Supply Chain and Procurement discipline. Additionally, he will take responsibility for Search’s growing Energy and Scientific recruitment teams across the UK.
Jonathan will be supporting UK businesses with a specific focus on executive and management positions. He is looking to grow presence across Search’s network of regional offices as well as establishing a presence in the Midlands, an engine room for the UK’s Supply Chain and Procurement market.
Speaking of his ambition for the Energy, Science and Procurement & Supply Chain discipline, Jonathan said:
“I have joined a very talented team at Search at a very exciting point in time. Under the stewardship of our new CEO Richard Vickers, I am very much looking forward to working alongside the team and supporting the next phase of Search’s growth story.
“We have a real opportunity to carve a niche and grow the Search name among the Supply Chain and Procurement community, and I am relishing the opportunity to build this new area and grow the team across the UK. From my first week in the business, there is a culture for learning and growth, the key ingredients to help drive forward our new practice area.”
