With International Women’s Day in full swing, it’s time to celebrate our inspiring women who have been instrumental to Search's success over the years. We are very proud of the female role models representing our board of directors, and invite you to find out more about how they continue to inspire women throughout the recruitment and wider business community.
Debbie Caswell joined Search in 2000 to open our supersite in Manchester, going on to become Chief Operating Officer in 2017. She has operational responsibility for over 700 professionals through a network of 15 offices across the UK. Debbie leads her business with real passion, energy and dedication which is rewarded through great loyalty and engagement from her employees.
Debbie has been recognised for her influence in the recruitment sector, as well as her commitment to promoting female talent within the professional landscape. In addition to proactively supporting, nurturing and developing female talent across the business, she was recognised as a Woman of Influence by Insider Media in 2015. In 2017, she was listed among the Northern Power Women, and was recently shortlisted as Business Leader of the Year by the Institute of Recruitment Professionals.

Following Search’s management buyout and investment from H2 Equity Partners, Kate McClorey joined Search Technology & Transformation in 2018 as Managing Director for IT recruitment across the UK. With over 16 years of specialist technology recruitment experience, Kate possesses a proven track record in managing, directing, building and developing high performing IT recruitment businesses. She boasts a thorough knowledge of Britain’s Technology sector and rapid pace of change, as well as pragmatic and effective insight into how best to meet the demand of employers.
With women comprising just 17 percent of the UK’s tech sector, Kate continues to play an active role in nurturing budding female talent at grassroots level. In doing so, she also continues to awareness throughout the business community about the importance of equal representation in tech. Last year she led the launch of Search’s Tech Smart series across Scotland, and has most recently supported Cyber Girls First student events throughout England.

Lisa McLean joined Search in 2016, and is Managing Director at Search Healthcare. With over 20 years of experience recruiting across the UK’s health and social care sector, she leads a highly skilled team of over 60 specialist recruiters with wide ranging expertise across the healthcare landscape.
Since her appointment, Lisa has been instrumental in growing Search’s healthcare recruitment offering across the UK, and led the team’s expansion to Scotland in 2017. She is fully committed to supporting women in their professional endeavours. Through strong emphasis on the importance of diversity, she continues to inspire those around her by drawing on their unique skills and talents.
Katherine Tiddy joined Search as a Managing Consultant for Office Services recruitment in 2000. Over the years she progressed to Divisional Manager, Associate director and Director, before taking up her current role as Managing Director for Commercial and General Staffing in 2017. Her UK wide remit covers all recruitment across the Customer Service, Office Services, Hospitality and Catering, Industrial and Aviation industries, and she currently oversees an experienced team of 220 specialist consultants across the UK.
As a long serving member of Search’s leadership team, Katherine has been instrumental in the winning and retention of many of Search’s key accounts and is passionate about developing new divisions, identifying new business opportunities and aligning services with current demands in the market. She continues to be a true inspiration and role model to women across the UK, and her success is testament to the potential women can achieve both in the recruitment sector and the wider professional landscape.
