Following significant growth and a strong presence across Liverpool and Manchester, Search Consultancy has appointed David Dawson as Divisional Manager to expand the firm’s Transport & Industrial recruitment offering in Sheffield.
After initially pursuing a career in hospitality, followed by a brief recruitment stint within the sector shortly thereafter, David shifted his sights to Sheffield’s driving market, where with no prior experience, he was instrumental in building and developing a successful driving recruitment desk from scratch.
Through sheer hunger for knowledge, combined with the determination to succeed as an industry specialist, he quickly learned the tricks of the trade to the point where he progressed through the ranks to become regional manager for three different branches. It was at this time that he decided to take his knowledge and experience to the next level by joining Search as Divisional Manager to futher develop the Industrial & Driving offering in Sheffield.
He brings with him comprehensive knowledge of Sheffield’s driving landscape, as well as extensive management experience with particular strengths in cultivating and developing a forward-moving team structure. As Divisional Manager, he will once again be tasked with cultivating and developing temp and perm desks to recruit within the driving sector, as well as Sheffield’s industrial market.
Of his appointment, David said: “I’m delighted to be joining Search, and look forward to the next steps in growing what has long been one of Search’s most successful specialisms nationwide.”
“It’s early days, yet exciting times for Search Industrial & Driving in Sheffield. We have big plans to grow our team substantially by early next year, and will be aiming to appoint as many as seven consultants across all levels of experience to expand our presence in Sheffield at the start of 2019,” he concluded.
