Following Search's series of Employee Engagement workshops last year, the leading recruitment firm will kick off their series of Talent Attraction & Retention seminars in Manchester and Liverpool this October.
The event will provide employers and HR professionals with exclusive insight on how to create an effective employer brand on a budget, as well as retain talent when time and resources are limited.
Talent attraction specialist and founder of talentalchemy, Sean Watts, will lead with an overview on how businesses across multiple sectors can set themselves apart in a candidate-driven landscape. With over 25 years HR experience and 10 years specialising in employer branding, he will also outline the fundamentals of employer branding on a budget, and how to make tangible talent attraction returns as a result.
Aesha Zafar, an HR specialist who was part of the core team behind the BBC’s expansion to the North West, will follow with advice on how to effectively retain talent. Her talk will cover the basics of creating a positive workplace culture, as well as aligning business objectives with talent strategy.
Pete Preston, Search’s MD for Professional Services recruitment, said: “Talent attraction and retention is a huge challenge which continues to influence the ambitious growth plans of businesses throughout the UK. Recent years have seen an increasing number of employers acknowledge that both their visibility and access to talent serve as major contributors to just how successful their businesses can be. Because candidates have choice in what is an opportune market, employers must continuously review their proposition to ensure it's competitive”.
“In a candidate-driven landscape, engaging your existing workforce is essential. Openly sharing the vision of the business, as well as identifying and upholding a progressive workplace culture, is paramount to retention. The entire working population is now switched on to what their business environment looks and feels like, acting as ambassadors when sharing their experiences with others."
"As consultants in recruitment, we believe it's vitally important to engage our clients, HR professionals and other members of the business community through hosting these seminars and continuously demonstrating how we add value in an advisory capacity, and not just through placing candidates. We sincerely hope that everyone in attendance will utilise the wealth of valuable insight and knowledge provided within their own businesses, and benefit substantially as a result,” he concluded.
