On Saturday the 27th of July, our Senior Consultant for Technical & Engineering recruitment, Kat Katsamangas will be sky-diving in support of the Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice in Leeds.

The Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice houses people aged 18 and over who have terminal conditions such as cancer, heart failure and lung disease. The hospice offers a significant level of support, ranging from inpatient care and care in patient’s own homes with the support of an expert team of community nurse specialists, to day services that help individuals remain independent for a longer period of time and offer respite to carers.

When asked about the charity initiative, Kat said: “Wheatfields Hospice Headingley is a charity that has helped many individuals to stay comfortable whilst providing brilliant end of life care.”

“This charity holds a place in my heart after my Grandmother was cared for at the hospice following her second cancer diagnosis. Not only did the staff deliver high quality medical care, but did so in a compassionate and caring manner, ensuring that she was comfortable throughout her time there.”

“Not only did Wheatfields Hospice provide clinical care for my Grandma, but also provided emotional support to my whole family, and I cannot ever thank them enough.”

“For this reason, I have jumped at the opportunity to contribute towards this charity which continues to have a significant impact on the local community, offering care and support to patients as well as their relatives, carers and friends.”
