Football in the City : Uniting businesses through five-a-side
We’re delighted to announce our 2nd corporate five-a-side tournament of 2015.
Our aim is to unite the business community in a quarterly competitive football tournament which will enable a team of football loving employees to enjoy a Friday afternoon of competitive football, networking and socialising whilst raising funds for The Reclaim Project and Kidscan.
Kicking off at 3pm, your team of 7 will take part and compete in a competitive tournament with 11 other Northwest based teams.
The tournament will take place on Friday 26th June at Soccer in the City, state of the art five-a-side football pitches in the heart of Castlefield, on the outskirts of Manchester city centre. We’re organising the 2 remaining tournaments for the end of September and early December. We’re also hoping to organise a social event at the end of the year to celebrate the money raised for charity.
Representatives from every organisation taking part will be welcome to support their colleagues and take advantage of some structured networking opportunities during the competition and afterwards over drinks, food and prize giving.
Each event will be promoted through local business networks and maximised across social media platforms. There will be plenty of publicity and branding opportunities for every company taking part.
Support a Local Charity
There is a cost of £295 per team per tournament. Included in the price will be trophies, food and sports drinks for the 7-strong football team.
We’re delighted to be supporting two Northwest based charities.
The Reclaim Project is a youth project that provides a network of caring adults to support young people from deprived communities. The charity empowers them to create new career and life opportunities for themselves by gaining new skills and encouraging entrepreneurship www.reclaimproject.com. Kidscan is a children’s cancer research charity. Every year in the UK around 1,600 children are diagnosed with cancer. Sadly, one in five won’t survive, and those who do will face a lifetime of side effects to the treatment they receive. Through ground-breaking research, Kidscan is working towards a world where every child diagnosed with cancer will survive and thrive. www.kidscan.org.uk.
