At Search Medical we don't believe in confining ourselves to the office. It's important to get out there and meet our clients and candidates, whether it be in their workplace or via events.
In June we exhibited at Career Pathways. Held at the Birmingham NEC, it was very well attended by a good mix of healthcare specialists. Over the course of the day we spoke to occupational therapists, dieticians, physiotherapists, RMN’s, RGN’s, RNLD’s, healthcare scientists and several doctors. We registered interest from 200 individuals, each of whom will be passed to the relevant department within Search.
Many of the attendees were students who were interested in either getting their first role or sorting out their preceptorship. We were pleased to hear that several of them had already accepted positions and we were happy to offer practical advice on the presentation of information and preparation for interview.
On the Search stand was an incredibly popular, very large and very noisy version of the children’s game – Operation. Lots of people tried but nobody managed to get to the end and retrieve all items without ringing the bell!
We were proud to have been asked to provide a seminar on ‘How to get the job you want’ and this was delivered to an audience of around 250 people. Following this, Search provided a CV clinic which was extremely popular with delegates.
Our presentation will be available to you over a series of blogs coming soon!
