This week, the Search Leicester team were delighted to form part of a professional business group supporting Leicester University's Tomorrow's Managers Event!

The event was run in partnership with employers from a range of sectors, to provide students with an insight into the challenges managers face in the workplace, as well as the types of skills they must develop. The top 100 students who attended the course came from a mix of degree disciplines and backgrounds and included individuals with and without relevant work experience.

Our team were pleased to have been able to attend and support this event, as building students' employability is key to helping the student generation find the right jobs quickly.

As Tomorrow's Managers is an accredited Leicester Award programme, the majority of the students were required to complete written elements in order to achieve the full award. From the outset, it was clear that the students were dedicated to completing the course outcomes and, as a result, really committed to the day's sessions.

The sessions themselves were a mixture of career-related reflections and activities, each aimed at developing the students' awareness of the work options available to them and the process of career decision-making. They also had the opportunity to discuss management careers in particular.

Search will continue to work closely with these students to help them become 'job ready', as this will be key to their future employability. We were delighted to have been part of this event and will continue to work closely with the Leicester University to offer valuable insights and job opportunities to prospective students.
