If you're thinking about temping, you'll probably have a few questions that you'll want answered before you start to apply for roles. Our specialist consultants are on hand to guide you through the process, but here are responses to certain frequently asked questions that might provide some of the answers.

Will I be entitled to holiday pay?
Yes, as a temp you're entitled to holiday pay. You can accrue a minimum of 28 days annual leave which will be pro-rated where part-time hours are worked or where an Associate does not work the full year.

Will I be entitled to sick pay?
In general, yes. There are qualifying criteria that must be met which you can find out more about on the Associates page of this website. Your consultant will also be able to advise you on your entitlement to sick pay.

Will I be entitled to maternity pay?
In general, yes. There are however, qualifying criteria you must meet. Your consultant can advise and you'll also find further details on the Associates section of the website.

How do I get paid?
You'll receive instructions from your consultant on the process, but in general you'll submit your timesheet by the Monday following your assignment, and you can expect payment into your bank account on the Friday of that same week.

What happens if I forget to send in my timesheet?
If you miss the Monday deadline you should contact your consultant and submit your timesheet as soon as possible. In general, your payment will be processed as part of payroll the following week.
