Aquamarine Power Limited (www.aquamarinepower.com) is one of the world’s leading marine energy companies.  Our pioneering company is helping shape an entire new industry by developing multiple technologies that will deliver clean renewable power and fresh water from ocean energy.     

Aquamarine Power has developed the world’s largest working hydro-electric wave energy device, known as ‘Oyster’, which was officially launched by Scotland’s First Minister Alex Salmond MP, MSP at the European Marine Energy Centre in Orkney in November 2009. 

Aquamarine Power’s goal is to develop commercial Oyster wave farms around the world and has signed an agreement with renewable energy company Airtricity to develop up to 1,000MW of Oyster wave farms by 2020.  Discussions are in progress with further potential development partners.
