Success at CBI's
Now, complete your application by confirming you have read and accepted our standard terms and conditions, as below.
- Prepare in advance some good examples where you've demonstrated your abilities and your competencies, relevant to the new role.
- Get as much information about the new role as you can. Then, put yourself in the position of the manager/interviewer and think about the important factors if you are going to be successful in actually doing the job? Do you match them? Can you provide relevant examples where you've done them before?
- Think hard about the things you've done at work you are most proud of. Situations where you feel you handled it well, or contributed a lot to the company in your role. What did you do, think, or say? Analysing yourself and knowing your strengths is key to your success - but make sure you've got some real examples!
- Don't be woolly and too general - be specific. Talk about you and your input to any specific situation. You can even use examples from your personal life - however, it's best to stick to work examples if you can.
- Finally, be honest! And, be spontaneous in answering questions. You can make notes to prepare, but don't read from a script!
