About this role

My client provides embedded banking services through API plugins across a variety of industries but has prominence in providing banking services including wallets, cards, credit and rewards and can integrate seamlessly with many apps, allowing a high end user experience.

The company is on a high growth trajectory and consequently is seeking to hire a Solicitor to join the legal team and advise on a range of different matters issues affecting this growth. Primary legal advice will include regulatory and payments related work such as Consumer Credit, liquidity regulations and associated payment regulations such as PSD2, EMR, and the PSR. Additionally you will advise on a range of commercial matters and technology related contracts.

In order to apply for this role you should have the following experience:

  • Be a UK qualified solicitor with at least 3 years' PQE with experience in payments, banking and payments regulations. Strong knowledge of the regulatory landscape and regulations related to payments and money movement, is paramount
  • Strong commercial experience, having worked in a fintech environment or you will have advised fintech clients within private practice
  • Excellent hands on and can do attitude with strong communications skills and the confidence to work in a small legal team, often working directly with the C-Suite on legal issues.
