Pitlochry Festival Theatre has an international reputation for its summer repertoire of plays and winter programme of week-end events.

There are very few sports or past-times which cannot be found within a couple of hours’ drive.

Pitlochry is famous for its dams, drams and drama, but also has three indoor swimming pools, four tennis courts and indoor ice for four sheets of curling.

Pitlochry is set in spectacular scenery and is superb for walks, with an integrated network of well signposted forest trails and designated mountain bike trails.

The beauty of Highland Perthshire is on your doorstep or, if you fancy venturing further afield, you are only about 30 minutes from Perth, 75 minutes from Edinburgh or 110 minutes from Glasgow.

Perthshire has an excellent choice of both public and state schools. Pitlochry High School and Breadalbane Academy (in Aberfeldy) have excellent reputations. Additionally, a mini-bus runs from Pitlochry to fee-paying Morrisons Academy in Crieff. There are other fee-paying schools nearby at Glenalmond, Kilgraston and Strathallan.
