Tunnel vision for Search at Thames Tideway
Search Consultancy is one of the UK’s leading providers of staff to the civil engineering industry and as such is currently involved in some of the country’s most significant infrastructure schemes.
Paul Kynaston, Search’s Construction Director and Key Account Manager Brad Payne were recently invited to spend the morning with one of our major clients on one of the country’s most ambitious engineering projects; the £5billion Thames Tideway Tunnel, designed to handle London’s overflowing Victorian sewer system. Work on the tunnel commenced this year and is expected to be completed by 2023.
Search is proud to be supplying a variety of civil engineering operatives to the scheme, as they assist with the enabling works in Blackfriars, central London. In the photo you can see piles being lowered into position (with Search operatives assisting) and materials arriving on site via the River Thames.
Paul commented: “One of our key areas of focus this year remains the civil engineering and infrastructure sector. I’m proud that we’re associated with such prestigious schemes and with clients at the very cutting edge of engineering.”
