Football in the City - 2016
Football in the City : Uniting businesses through five-a-side: Thursday 17th March 2016
After the success of the 2015 events we’re delighted to announce our 1st corporate five-a-side tournament of 2016.
Goals Soccer Centre in Manchester will be the venue for March's tournament.
Goals has an unrivalled reputation in delivering a quality football experience with all centres accredited by The FA. All pitches feature the latest 5G synthetic grass and pitch-side cameras will capture all the goals, action and excitement for teams to share on social media. Find out more about them here:
Join us at 4.30pm for registration and a prompt 5.30pm kick off.
Your team will then compete against up to 11 other Northwest based teams. There will be a trophy and case of beer for the winners and runner up medals.
No one will go away empty handed as there will be a souvenir ball for each team.
We hope that each team taking part will bring along with them some supporters and take the opportunity to network across the other teams.
After the football, we invite you to stay for the prize giving and join us for pizza and beers in the bar. There will be other activities to get involved with such as beat the goalie and a raffle.
Supporting Local Charities
The cost of entering a team is £220 which includes a sports drink, beer and pizza for up to 7 players.
We’re delighted to be supporting two Northwest based charities:
The Reclaim Project is a youth project that provides a network of caring adults to support young people from deprived communities. The charity empowers them to create new career and life opportunities for themselves by gaining new skills and encouraging entrepreneurship. www.reclaimproject.org.uk
Kidscan is a children’s cancer research charity. Every year in the UK around 1,600 children are diagnosed with cancer. Sadly, one in five won’t survive, and those who do will face a lifetime of side effects to the treatment they receive. Through ground-breaking research, Kidscan is working towards a world where every child diagnosed with cancer will survive and thrive. www.kidscan.org.uk
