Search Sponsor Women in Business Awards
The search has begun to find Leicestershire's most promising new businesswoman and Search is proud to be sponsoring the Rising Star award.
The Leicester Women in Business Awards, held by the Leicester Mercury and the University of Leicester, are searching for the county's best new businesswomen or career professionals.
The Rising Star award is one of 10 categories at this year's first event.
Karen Orton, of Search, said: "We are thrilled to be sponsoring the Rising Star Award.
"It is an honour to play a part in raising the profile of women who are newcomers to the business community, and our future leaders and board members.
"Gender equality in the workplace is something we're extremely passionate about, and this is evidenced by the make-up of our leadership team.
"It comprises 56 per cent women, while five of our eight senior board members are women.
"We are proud to provide a working environment that encourages women to thrive by supporting flexible working arrangements and providing part-time working.
"We are equally committed to ensuring we help match women with the right career opportunities.
"In Leicester alone, our team of 25 recruitment professionals have helped more than 1,700 women find work.
"We believe the recruitment industry has an important part to play when it comes to tackling diversity and equality in the work place.
"That's why we strive where possible to link up with employers who have a similar ethos to us.
"We also actively encourage our clients to offer flexible working options such as flexi-time, part time, compressed hours, working from home/remote working, job share, short contracts, term-time, on-call or shift work.
"Making these kind of options available can have a wealth of benefits.
"It can help attract talent, appealing to skilled job seekers who need working patterns that suit their lifestyles.
"Furthermore, it can bring fantastic business benefits, like decreased attrition rates and improved motivation and productivity.
"Search also organises regular learning events for clients, giving them access to leading employment law experts and enabling them to keep up to date with legislative changes."
