A Toast to Business Success in Leicester
Earlier this month, the team at Search Consultancy Leicester hosted a table at the Leicester Mercury Business Awards 2014. The event was promoted as the “biggest and most prestigious to date” and, after attending on the night, we can confirm it did not disappoint!
Held at the Mayer Centre, the glamorous event was attended by over 700 guests representing Leicester’s brightest and best from a number of business sectors. With everybody dressed to impress and champagne flowing freely, spirits were high with everyone ready to have a brilliant night celebrating the success of Leicester’s leading companies.
Associate Director for Search Leicester, Karen Orton, hosted Search’s table along with consultants from our specialist divisions in HR (Mark Dayman), Call & Contact Centre (Tristan Law), Office Services (Berenika Moss), Supply Chain (Susan Hamilton) and Driving & Industrial (Lee Gunton and Georgina Bailey). We were delighted to be joined by special guests from Midland Metal, Shakespeares, Panther and Ross Handling.
The event hosts, Paul Ross (TV personality and radio presenter) and Anne Davies (local BBC news presenter) were very engaging and provided a great commentary throughout the evening. After enjoying a decadent three course gala menu from The Red Olive Catering Company, we were treated to entertainment from comedian and impressionist Kevin Connelly (star of award winning show Dead Ringers), who performed wickedly accurate impressions that kept everyone in the room laughing.
After this, the awards quickly got underway. The companies shortlisted in each of the twelve categories truly highlighted the innovative and inspirational work that defines the Leicester business sector. The winners were very well deserved and the Company of the Year top spot went to one of our clients, MyHomeMove - who worked hard for this fantastic accolade. MyHomeMove were our guests at the 2013 Awards, so it was great to see them again and in such high spirits after this brilliant win!
Overall, the event was a success for nominees, sponsors and guests - with everyone enjoying a truly wonderful time. Roll on the 2015 Awards!
