Employment Law Seminar Series
It's a busy time for the employment law agenda in April. Why is that? The month of April is one of the UK's commencement dates (the other is October), when new and existing employment legislation is being introduced, updated or amended. This April, we have some significant changes and Search have asked me to explain what those changes mean to their clients in an Employment Law Update Seminar. In these sessions, I'll be sharing with you both the changes as well as how we can navigate and implement them efficiently and commercially, along with an analysis of some recent case law which has redefined the legal landscape.
We are going to be looking at the whole suite of parental and family friendly entitlements that are coming into effect this year and the government's proposals for shared parental leave, increase to adoptive leave provisions, paid ante-natal appointments for expectant fathers and the newly announced childcare voucher scheme for working parents.
I'll also be sharing with you the new fees structure for employment tribunal cases, along with who is exempt from those fees and what level of charging certain disputes will fall into for both lodging cases and for tribunal hearings. The Rapid Resolution Scheme comes into effect in April and we will be looking at what that means for employers as well as exploring quicker and alternative methods for resolving workplace issues and disputes.
In addition, I'll also be covering the statutory changes to Whistleblowing legislation along with the reduction of the collective redundancy period and the changes to Pensions Auto-Enrolment thresholds. And finally, as users of agencies and employment businesses, we would really welcome your thoughts and feedback on the Employment Agencies and Employment Business Conduct Regulations 2003 consultation.
It's a full, interactive Seminar with sessions having already been held in Manchester and Leeds, with additional dates in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Crawley to come. Places are limited so please book your place early and as always I look forward to seeing you at a Seminar near you soon. This Seminar series is CPD certified for all delegates attending.
