Search sponsors Let’s Lunch initiative for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity
On Sunday – 11 June, national recruitment firm Search Consultancy partnered with the third annual Let’s Lunch initiative, where proceeds went towards Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity (GCHC).
Guests were treated to a glass of bubbly on arrival, followed by a sumptuous three course lunch accompanied by more Prosecco. The event was hosted by STV's David Farrell, and the day included some fantastic performances from incredible live acts - Soul Town, The Dawn Patrol, X Factor contestant - Nicholas McDonald and singer songwriter – Rebecca.
Every year 160,000 children from Scotland and beyond are treated at the Royal Hospital for Children. Some suffer from minor ailments, while others are fighting for their lives. GCHC raises money to ensure that Scotland's sick children and their families receive the best possible care and experience while at hospital.
Boasting a long and impressive history of participating in initiatives that offer monetary or voluntary assistance towards the community, Debbie Caswell, COO of Search was the headline sponsor at the event which raised a staggering £40,000 for the charity.
The other guests and sponsors also demonstrated a tremendous amount of generosity, contributing through the raffle auction and silent auction.
Kathryn Boyd, Search HR Director and member of the Lets Lunch committee said, “I am tremendously honoured and humbled that Search was able to play a role in supporting this charity that assists so many members of our community.”
“We exceeded expectations, and it is my sincere hope that many lives will be changed for the better through the contributions from each and every one of us who attended the event, both from Search and elsewhere,” she added.
Kathryn also purchased the four-day Mont Blanc Trek, where she hopes to raise £5000 for the charity. The event will take place in September 2018.
