Search exhibits at Precast Conference and Expo in Sheffield
Representatives from Search’s Engineering and Manufacturing Recruitment branch in Sheffield have participated in this year’s British Precast conference and expo - which took place at the Leicester Tigers Stadium on Thursday the 11th of May.
The nationally acclaimed agency’s team of dedicated specialists became a member of the Precast Confederation two years ago. They have since attended a number of the trade association’s events, whereby they have been able to receive essential updates about health and safety, new and upcoming technologies, and other innovative solutions that will have an impact on the market.
This particular event boasted a series of seminars from respected industry experts, along with live demonstrations at intervals throughout the day. Over 450 delegates received up-to-date briefings on key topics including Building Information Modelling, Environmental Product Declarations, and the topical conversation of Brexit.
Speakers also addressed the widely-discussed issue of mental health in the workplace, and how leaders can create a culture of acceptance and communication amongst the junior to senior workforce within the industry.
Search representatives took the opportunity to network with key spokespeople and delegates. Their stand included a Retro Pacman Machine competition, whereby entrants stood the chance to win a spot at the De Vere Four Ball or a Luxury Spa Day for two (1st place), a bottle of champagne (2nd place) or a bottle of wine (3rd place).
Dominic Jarvis, Divisional Manager for Search Engineering & Manufacturing in Sheffield, said: “We are delighted to have had the opportunity to participate at this year’s Precast exhibition. Not only was it highly informative, but has also enabled us to better service our clients and candidates through increased knowledge and insight into crucial trends that will have an impact on the industry we cover.”
“Given that we represent an organisation that firmly believes in prioritising the mental wellbeing of employees to increase engagement, productivity and results, I found it particularly inspiring to witness these issues being addressed at the seminar. In an industry that prioritises the physical health and safety of its workforce, it’s great to see leaders grow increasingly aware of how mental health impacts physical performance on site.”
"As an Associate Member of British Precast, we are proud to be a recruitment partner to a number of its members. Through connecting and working with top suppliers and manufacturers that attend these events, we are better able to build and continue to uphold a good reputation amongst both candidates and clients alike by delivering high quality and specialist recruitment solutions,” he added.
