Search’s rail division is right on track
Recruitment specialist Search Consultancy’s rail division has received the highest possible rating following a RISQS (Railway Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme) audit.
It has been awarded a five star rating – a significant achievement for the company, demonstrating that its business management system meets the highest health, safety, operational and competence standards.
RISQS is a third party rail industry audit programme which measures organisational and procedural success.
Launched last year, Search Rail sits alongside the Search Construction business in England, under the direction of Donna Johnson.
The launch followed on from substantial Government investment, as well as Network Rail’s plans to spend over £38billion running and expanding railway across the UK between now and 2019.
Donna, Search’s divisional manager for rail infrastructure, has 15 years’ experience of the recruitment sector, 12 of which are in rail.
She said: “This division launched just last year and already we have gained a five star rating. This shows that we are at the top of our game when it comes to our ability to supply good quality engineers to the marketplace and demonstrates that we are working well as a division.
“We work closely with some of the UK’s biggest rail infrastructure companies. Our robust recruitment process means we place only the best candidates who are capable of carrying out the work required for entire projects, from design and build, to operations, maintenance, management and project control.
“I’m confident that our success in the audit will help the division grow and develop and will further expand our client reach.”
With a 30-year pedigree in the infrastructure arena, the division supplies qualified technical staff, engineers and operatives across the UK on a contract and permanent basis. Specialisms include signalling and telecommunications; electrification; commercial and project controls; civils enhancements; and site and project management.
