Job Specification: Licensed Conveyancer, Legal Executive, or Paralegal


Job Purpose:
We are seeking a Licensed Conveyancer, Legal Executive, or Paralegal to handle a broad range of residential property matters. This role involves working as a crucial member of the team, focusing on residential property transactions including acquisitions, disposals, and plot sales. The ideal candidate will cultivate strong relationships with clients and team members while meeting targets set by the Group Head/Head of Department, including contribution, hours, and fees.


Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:
* Residential Property Experience: Demonstrated experience in residential property transactions.
* Legislation and Case Law Knowledge: Proficient understanding of property legislation and relevant case law.
* Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively to meet client and internal deadlines.
* Client Care: Strong client care skills, capable of addressing a diverse range of client objectives and understanding their commercial goals.
* Team Collaboration: Ability to work within a team and support Associates and Partners as needed.
* Technical Skills: Proficient in Excel and competent in IT systems including Outlook, Word, Digital Dictation, and time recording systems.
* Documentation: Skill in drafting detailed documentation with precision.
* Firm Strategy Awareness: Understanding of the firm's strategy and vision.
* Effective Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interactions.
* Legal Information Conveyance: Ability to present technical legal information accessibly and effectively.


Responsibilities and Duties:
Personal:
1. Participate and contribute to the Real Estate group for a productive working environment, supporting complex matters as needed.
2. Attend relevant technical training to stay current with skills and knowledge.
3. Contribute to group meetings and continuously develop technical expertise.
4. Maintain awareness of the legal market, particularly in commercial property.
5. Promote the vision and culture of the firm.
6. Participate in annual AROM/objective meetings.
7. Encourage a culture of problem identification and resolution.


Financial:
1. Achieve key financial targets, including fees, contribution, and debt/disbursement payments.
2. Maintain accurate data in case management and the firm's financial systems.
3. Monitor performance metrics such as file openings/closures, billing, and time recording, and take appropriate actions to meet targets.
4. Scope matters appropriately, using budget templates and delivering work on time and within budget.
Client Care:
1. Deliver exceptional service to clients, maintaining the highest standards of client care to encourage repeat business and referrals.


Business Development:
1. Assist with marketing and business development activities such as writing for e-newsletters, attending seminars, and participating in other initiatives.


Risk:
1. Ensure full compliance with Money Laundering and FSMA Policies and Procedures.
2. Adhere to the firm's risk management procedures.
3. Attend regular group meetings to review current work and workloads.
